About Me
Hey, I’m Sivaank.
I care about how people live, what they love, what they’re afraid of, and what they want to change.
I don’t really fit into one box. I’m happiest at the edges of different worlds: space, genes, the brain, mental health, literature, music, advocacy, and nature. I like finding the threads that connect them and using that mix to make life feel a little more humane.
The Things I'm Drawn To
These are the places my mind keeps returning to. They’ve become the lens I use to understand people and the world around me.
Molecular Biology
I like understanding how biological systems work on the smallest level and how they influence real human health and behavior.
Space
I’ve always been drawn to space because it forces big questions about life, limits, and how far we can push knowledge.
Writing
Writing is where I explore ideas that don’t fit anywhere else. Whether it’s analysis, personal reflection, or building out fictional worlds. It’s the one place I can think deeply and create freely at the same time.
Advocacy
I’m interested in how policies and institutions affect people’s lives, and I like working on issues where change is possible.
Neuroscience
The brain is endlessly complex, and I’m interested in how circuits and chemicals translate into decisions, habits, and identity.
Mental Health
I care about the psychological side of people, why we react the way we do, why we struggle, and how support systems can be better.
Music
I grew up learning Carnatic music, but I’ve always been into a mix of different genres. Music is something I enjoy in a pretty broad way listening, learning, and creating.
Nature
I like getting outside, whether it’s biking, walking, or just exploring whatever trail I find.
Media
Here are a few places I’ve talked about my work.
Author Talk: Writing, Ideas, and the Process
A two-part conversation where I talk about why I write, where my ideas come from, and what I learned along the way.
A Reader’s Take on Perfect Silence
An episode where others break down the themes and choices in my book from their perspective.
Southern Spice: My Work & Motivation
An interview where I talk about my background, my projects, and what got me interested in them.
